The Igrejinha Quebra Cuia project is located on a farm near the city of Mococa, 250km from São Paulo. We were asked to renovate a church that had not been used for some time and therefore needed to be reactivated for the religious rituals of the residents and workers of the region.
Located on a plateau right in the center of the territory, the volume of the pre-existence that stands out in the landscape is permeated by a single main door and a few windows.
Starting from the most varied paths that give access to the church, in the intervention, it becomes part of the crossings and assumes the windows as large doors and presents itself as a meeting place, a religious space.
